ABB Robotics to Introduce New Robots at IMTS 2014

posted August 27, 2014

ABB Robotics will feature over 10 advanced technology demonstrations at the 2014 International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS), September 8-13 at the McCormick Place in Chicago. From new robots to enhanced manufacturing technology and turnkey manufacturing cells, the demos will introduce industries to new innovation to improve automated robotic processes at the ABB booth (#N-6251) in the North Hall. Below are the major highlights the ABB Booth will feature at the show:

  • IRB 1200 Robots: A new small robot family designed to provide flexibility, a compact footprint and large production.
  • FlexMt: Pre-engineered system designed to load and unload machine tools using vision guided robotics
  • High Speed Industrial Part Handling Cell: A demonstration of how FlexPicker robot models improve cycle time and payload.
  • Robotic Bin Picking Cell: Features an ABB IRB 4600 robot combined with SICK PLB 3D vision to add precision to the localization of randomly orientated parts in bins and boxes.
  • IRB 6700 Robots: The three industrial robot cell features one model in material handling dress and two models dressed for spot welding.
